亨廷顿的《文明的冲突》的主要思想
1.未来世界的国际冲突的根源将主要是文化的而不是意识形态的和经济的，全球政治的主要冲突将在不同文明的国家和集团之间进行，文明的冲突将主宰全球政治，文明间的断裂带将成为未来的战线。国际政治的核心部分将是西方文明和非西方文明及非西方文明之间的相互作用。

亨廷顿出生在1927年，他天资聪慧，16岁就考入了耶鲁大学，18岁提前毕业。
在2001年的9月11日上午，亨廷顿登上了从波士顿飞往华盛顿的飞机。而就在同一天，另一架从波士顿起飞的客机被恐怖分子劫持了。
亨廷顿安全着陆后，才知道发生了恐怖袭击事件。他惊魂未定，就有记者到处找他。为什么呢？在8年之前，亨廷顿提出了“文明冲突论”，当时受到了许多严厉的抨击。而911事件发生之后，亨廷顿一下子被当做是有先见之明的预言家，受到众人瞩目。
当时《华盛顿邮报》的记者问他，“现在你是不是感觉自己得到了证明？” 亨廷顿断然回答，“不，我感到愤怒和惊恐！恐怖分子并不代表伊斯兰文明，这不是一场真正的文明的冲突”。但他补充了一句，说这有可能导致一场真正的文明冲突。
从此以后，世界上发生的所有争端和冲突，只要和文化差异有关，亨廷顿的名字就会“上热搜”。无论是巴黎恐怖袭击事件、反移民浪潮，甚至是中美贸易摩擦，都会有人引用亨廷顿的文明冲突论，他的理论好像成了万能膏药，随时可以拿来涂抹。
亨廷顿的文明冲突论究竟说了什么呢？说得对不对呢？文明冲突论，最简单的概括就是，一张地图和一个警告。
地图，是一张世界“文明圈”的地图。
警告，就是亨廷顿说，西方世界要注意防守，不要扩张，不要去推广所谓“普世价值”。
先来看这张地图。现实中七大洲五大洋的世界地图，你很熟悉了，但是如果要理解世界政治格局，就还需要另一种认知地图。
在冷战年代，这张认知地图很清楚，就是按照意识形态，划分为美苏两大阵营。在这张地图中，你会看到谁和谁是朋友，谁和谁是对手。但冷战结束之后，旧地图不管用了，新地图该怎么画呢？
亨廷顿说，最好的画法，就是用“文明”作为分界单位。
他划分出了七个主要文明：西方文明、拉丁美洲文明、东正教文明、印度文明、中华文明、日本文明和伊斯兰文明。还有非洲，有可能成为第八个文明。
在每个文明圈中，可能会有一个核心国家，比如中华文明的核心是中国，西方文明的核心是美国。但有的文明圈还没有核心国家，比如伊斯兰文明和非洲文明都没有。而日本文明呢，只有日本一个国家。所以这张地图其实有点模糊。
而且，你想一想文明这个概念，主要是依据宗教、语言、文化传统和习俗来界定，本身也有很多弹性和含混之处。
但亨廷顿认为，文化价值和宗教，就是影响国家政治发展和国际关系最重要的持久不变的因素。
文明冲突中的世界秩序会是怎样？
那么，有了这张文明地图，怎么来看待世界秩序呢？
首先，亨廷顿不认为西方文明更优越，也不相信存在什么普世价值。在他看来，所有的文明都是重视自己的价值，我觉得我的文明好，你觉得你的文明好，我们俩之间也没有什么高低优劣。
第二，亨廷顿认为，文明是很难改变的。科学技术和经济方式都可以推广，但一个文明的核心价值基本上是不会改变的。
比如他认为，像是自由、平等、个人主义、民主这些价值，都是基督教文明的产物，并不是普遍的价值。你要是认为这些东西人人都喜欢，要推广到其他文明，这就是妄想，会激起别人的反感和抵抗。
而且当今世界，西方文明已经相对衰落了，其他文明，特别是中华文明和伊斯兰文明的影响力正在变得越来越强大，西方再也不可能让其他文明“西方化”了，所以要放弃这种幻想。
亨廷顿强调，要承认文明之间的差别是确实存在的，他把这个叫做“文明的断层线”。冲突的危险就蕴藏在断层线之间，文明的差异不可能消除，所以冲突的危险也持久存在。
那么世界怎么来建立秩序呢？亨廷顿认为，要重建世界秩序，就是让每个文明圈内部的核心国家，来主持圈内秩序。然后文明圈之间，通过平等对话协商、彼此妥协让步等等方式来控制冲突，防止冲突激化走向战争。也就是说，冲突不可避免，但我们不要把事情闹大了。
总的来说，亨廷顿认为文明差异是不可消除的，冲突也不可根除，只能管控，世界秩序只能建立在多种文明共存的基础之上。
对比亨廷顿和福山的理论。他们的分歧，其实中国有两句老话可以表达，福山是相信“人同此心，心同此理”，而亨廷顿则认为“非我族类，其心必异”。这两位理论家，到底谁更正确呢？
